Nod to new govt PR station likely

The broadcasting regulator is likely to look favourably on the government’s request for a digital-TV licence to launch a station to promote its Pracha Rath grass-roots-economy policy. “The broadcasting committee has not yet concluded this matter but we intend to support essential national policies,” Pakdee Manaves, deputy secretary-general of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, said on 6 June.
